Originally founded in the 1930’s, Hillel at The George Washington University is located within close proximity to the university’s campus, along with famous Washington D.C. sites such as the White House, The Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument.
Hillel hosts networking events, provides community support, and ultimately aids over 4,500 Jewish students who attend the university by creating a place where they can explore their faith, history and traditions in a unique environment.
The new building design features a more modern aesthetic than the previous structure, and opened in the Spring of 2021 to the university’s students. It features a 21,000 square foot facility, and is 5 stories tall. Hillel at The George Washington University is cladded with 7,000 square feet of Bottega Acero porcelain panels – which features a grey concrete look and gives the building a sleek, neutral look.
